BACKGROUND:
My art experience ranges from Advertising & Illustration, to Pottery, Drawing and Printmaking. With an associate degree in Commercial Art, and a BS in Art Education, I taught art in the public schools for 27 years. I started painting the rural landscape of Northern Wisconsin, and moved on to florals & still life. My recent paintings stretch toward abstraction, as I continue to work in many media, experimenting with acrylic ink, watercolor and collage. I am inspired by movement of color on wet paper and canvas.as well as the changing view out my window. Through painting and teaching, I have found new purpose, many new friends, and opportunities to share my art.
ARTS ORGANIZATIONS:
I am a member of two art guilds: EarthArts:of the Upper St. Croix Valley, in Northern Wisconsin and Minnesotal ..and The ArtWeb - A group of twelve women artists who meet monthly, share our art, travel, have group shows, and promote creativity. Hope to see you at the Earth Arts Fall Salon :"Out of the Blue" Reception , at artZ Gallery , Amery, WI.
